Max Puddey honoured with a Paul Harris Medal for his work on the Cambridge Community Shed
Our Club recently recognised one of our Members, Max Puddey, as a Paul Harris Fellow, meaning that we have donated US $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation in Max’s name. This act of recognition has been done to acknowledge the enormous effort that Max and his team have put into the soon to be established Community Shed at Lake Monger, and to thank him for his dedication. Past President Peter Pearse and Past District Governor Ross Ledger made the announcement towards the end of our Club's annual Changeover Night on 8 July 2020, an event which heralds the start of a new Rotary year under a new President and Board. We commenced the process of establishing a Community Shed in June 2013 under the leadership of Max Puddey, and the Club finally got the green light to proceed just a couple of weeks ago - some seven years of perseverance by the team and in particular by Max. Well done Max, and we look forward to the start of construction works in the near future!
