There was no changeover to celebrate this year as President Max was staying on as club president and the Board members were all staying on for a further year. Nevertheless, the club held a Celebration Dinner anyway and a very successful event it was! The dinner was held at the Prego Restaurant in Cambridge Street and was attended by 27 Members, partners and guests. The club was honoured to have as guests DG Veronica Lawrence, Cambridge Mayor Gary Mack and City of Perth Surf Lifesaving Club Boat Captain Grant Trew. Many of the formalities were dispensed with since there was no actual changeover. However, President Max gave a full review of the club’s activities during the past year and expressed his surprise at just how much the club does and achieves. President Max invited DG Veronica Lawrence and Mayor Gary Mack to say a few words. Gary Mack told members how much he and the Town’s staff appreciated the good relations they had with the club and the attendance by members at the Town’s events. DG Veronica said this was her 26th changeover event since 14 July but how much she appreciated meeting the members. The club looks forward to another successful year ahead.
