At a meeting of the Rotary Club of Cambridge to which Student Councillors and staff of the Floreat Park Primary School were invited, Principal Jane Rowlands was installed as a Friend of Rotary.
The Rotary Club of Cambridge has developed a very strong relationship with the Floreat Park Primary School. The club runs three programmes for students, parents and teachers involving a Speech Competion, EarlyAct activities and Coaching to teach the Student Coucillors how to run a meeting and a programme of talks on subjects of concern to parents and teachers. As part of this programme the student councillors were invited to attend a meeting of the club. This took place with the talk by Chris Frame on P&O ships. The school contingent included Principal Jane Rowlands and 12 Year 6 students who are part of the school's EarlyAct programme, introduced into the school by AG Jeremy. Because of the support given to the club, Principal Jane Rowlands was was presented with a "Friend of Rotary" Certificate to the acclaim of all present.
