District Governor Ineke Oliver was our guest speaker this week and was introduced and welcomed by Past President Jeremy Wood. Ineke’s theme for this year focused on public image and how we can project our image to the public. The use of the widely used social media platform such as an uptodate Web Page, Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin are all avenues that promote the profile of Rotary. She complimented our Club on the use of such facilities and for keeping them all current and updated.
Ineke promoted the Joint District Conference that is to be held on Friday the 17th February and Saturday the 18th February 2023 in the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre. This will be followed by the International Conference which is to be held in Melbourne in May 2023.
Ineka reported that the transition to one District Regionalisation is progressing and all Clubs will be requested to vote on the Pilot Plan for the new District. All Clubs will have one vote. A Resolution that we support the Pilot Plan for the new District, was put to attending Members and a Yes Vote was carried unanimously.
