Due to the sudden hard lockdown resulting from the Covid-19 situation, our first regular meeting for 2021 turned into a Zoom on-line meeting with 14 of our 22 Members attending. It was scheduled to be a Club Forum anyway, and a number of topics were addressed.Graham gave an update on the East Java Hearing project particularly in the light of Marie Kormendy’s passing away. Don and Graham will be meeting with the Rotary Club of Mount Lawley representatives in order to discuss some suitable way of remembering Marie whose funeral was attended by many people including Pres. Jeremy. We discussed our fund-raising Fete and what might transpire in 2021; our recruitment efforts are an ongoing commitment for all Members; our recent BBQ at the Bowling Club went off well, but the catering was a little generous as it turned out; Don will be asked to give the Club an update on our past Exchange Student Jaz’s news, and Pres.Jeremy reported that he has attended various District things which are now ‘cranking up’!
